Looks like the wait goes on for our first incoming player… not even hearing whispers anymore

Only 17 days until the first friendly, so the Boro line up will be in goal, trialist, the back4, trialists, in midfield trialists, and up front, trialists. Subs, trialists.

I know decarry sheriffs of Kidderminster is ending on June 30th and he follows mark beard on Instagram and liked a post by the boro. So who knows could be him

Thanks bigbenji, I mentioned this about contracts because i thought some did finish at the end of June, and believe this is why the club has been unable to announce any new signings as yet.

Who do you reckon is going to be the 1st signing and when it will be announced? It's possible that we might hear something today. Certainly that has been suggested by one or two people recently. As for who... could be anyone. There are a few free agents around that could do a job for us. These names spring to mind: Joe Dodoo Matty Willock Derick Osei They could all potentially do a job for Borough, but it would be a step down for all of them. They would be free and all are in their 20's. I think we'll start to get a picture of the sort of player we are looking at fairly soon.

Yeah, perhaps we could see a couple of past Dorking and current Brighton youth considering Beard's links with them. That would be good. But the team must have a good balance of youth and experience.

Hopefully, the thing that worries me is the lack of clarity of signings and outgoings, the only outgoings the club announced are luer, Hammond and dickenson. Quite worrying. But that being said, there must be a retained list announced soon.

Let's hope so or else we won't be playing leauge 2 as suggested by the new owner I think he was actually suggesting that was the ultimate aim. I have real doubts that league 2 football will occur in the next 2 or 3 years. We need to be promoted to the National League and then be established there. League 2 an aim - at least 5 years away. What happens with signings this season won't dictate whether we achieve the football league or not. why is it so secret I though with new owner we might not be the secret service club anymore how wrong can you be It's not a secret, just confidential. You have no right to know anything. There's no point in information being released until medicals are complete and the player has signed the contract. The club is being run as a business by a businessman, so it's going to be done a pretty professional level I would guess. That means that you and I, along with everyone else, will have to get used to waiting for information. it will be interesting to see how many sea tickets have been sold Yes, I agree. It will be interesting to know. I doubt that the club are likely to tell us this, at least anytime soon. The bigger question is where we might be with attendances this coming season. I would like to think they will increase, but that will take time. If we are playing really exciting football and starting to win more games (and we weren't doing too bad before), then more people will come especially if they know the club is trying to push on. At the same time, there may be some who prefer not to carry on coming or feel it is too expensive. So attendances are one to watch. I guess that I'm hoping we'll get some news today on signings, with more news over the course of the next week about various bits and pieces. I'm not going to hold my breath, though, because I think information will be professionally handled and come out slowly. And I'm certainly not going to panic or shout about lack of news.

May come to nothing but believe Ben Dudzinski was seen at the club. 2022 top keeper Nat South.

Alex Finney first signing. Interesting to note the comment from Tonbridge Angles (via Kent Messenger website) He was subsequently approached by Eastbourne Borough FC and offered a deal which significantly exceeds our wage structure. I think that bit in italics tells you about where we might be in terms of financial muscle this season. Understandably, this may not be going down well with Tonbridge Angles fans!

Understandably, this may not be going down well with Tonbridge Angles fans! I know little about him, seems he's had injury troubles in the past but shows the desire that Simon Leslie was talking about: www.kentonline.co.uk/gravesend/sport/finney-repaying-fleets-faith-256075/Ebbsfleet took a chance with him, so evidently highly rated. It'll be interesting to see what he's like!

I think we will be spending a lot personally. Maybe not as much as ebbsfleet did last season. But to get a player to be fulltime, it has to be £500 a week minimum I think otherwise financially (especially with the cost of living) it wouldn’t be worth viable. All speculation of course.

Probably panicking because of the Tonbridge statement, I’d assume it’s just a full announcement of him… hopefully we get a few more though
