The pitch is greening up a treat(web-site) The last time I saw it I was a bit concerned. Now it looks a treat and really flat. ROLL ON NEXT SEASON Can't wait.

I hope its being watered regularly, don't want any patches! Anyone seen it after a rainfall?

Hope that they have got some spare seed as it looked decidedly patchy this morning. Be good though to have a pitch that the team can play football on.

Yep, I'm sure extra seed is available for the season, but don't forget there is still several weeks until the season starts - it'll look alot better yet

Yeh I know its early days yet. looks like we have the basis for a good pitch. I think that we showed in the last 20 mins at Stevenage what we can do when we stop lumping the ball from back to front, get it down and play some football. Really looking forward to the first game on a flat surface.

Worth a mention at the next fans forum. Better than some of the guff that is offered up.

I believt those humps in the penalty areas have to be raised by league rules so that water cannot collect in the peno. areas

not sure about that! is it possible when the humps were there, that just below the surface was some form of 'gigantic rubber waffle' (to help with drainage and which kept it's level)while the ground around it slightly sank?

Be good though to have a pitch that the team can play football on. Our opponents will also enjoy playing on a quality surface. This will hopefully produce some cracking matches
