I spoke to Steve King a couple of years ago for about an hour at a pre season friendly and despite his confident air you can tell he has always wanted to manage his home town club. Well fate has given a moment in time when he is not working and we need a proven NLS manager. So unless SL has an Ace up his sleeve it must be the time to see if he can do it well with a contract to the end of the season. Go for it Simon.

Hopefully it’s still an attractive job. The manager was backed with time and money. Players do seem to be well looked after, a new head of recruitment coming in. Hopefully lots of interest and this time with a more experienced panel of people conducting interviews. Beard appealed because of his experience developing young players and creating coaching programmes. I’d imagine that vision remains. I don’t think any of us can predict the next move here.

Mark should have been dismissed after the Torquay game you could see the players were not taking in what he was saying, Remy on the wing was shaking his head constantly at Marks instructions and at drinks breaks he was shouting in their ears, the players the club recruited are not strong enough for this league it will need further investment and a experienced level headed manager who has a proven track record in this league speaking the obvious really, the worthing supporters may have been the ones who sealed Marks fate getting sacked in an hour, I think the Eastbourne Supporters were very patient and apart from the unfortunate spitting incident were very fair and were hoping he could turn it around, Brad said it all in the post match, but I wish Mark well and I don't think he will be out of work long as a coach.

What now for Sam Beard? Hope he stays and lends his experience to the team.

I think Steve King is out of the running, given the way this is going.

Paxman leaves by mutual consent. What a talented player Paxman is. One of those old school luxury creative players that don’t fit as well into the faster pace of the game now. Would have loved to have seen him utilised better

Doubt if Brad will be having contacts to bring in new players so will have to struggle on with existing squad or will Mr. Anderson find him some gems to bolster the team. We shall see.
