Whilst I desperately want to believe we can escape relegation, should the worst happen and we end up in the Isthmian league, surely the full-time status of players would have to end? Cannot see how a club could afford the wage bill in the circumstances, wealthy owner or not.

Well said looking at our full time players we were fitter last season and we,had a good team Beard has sent this club into relegation he has to go NOW

Have not posted for a while as we appear to be heading for a nose dive into the Pitching In league barring a near miracle (which I would love to experience) so time for a little "Gallows Humour".
From August this year we will have the pleasure of 5 Sussex Derbys (Hastings,Lewes,Whitehawk,Horsham and Bognor) all not a bad little drive. Not a lot further to Dover ,Folkestone, Cray and Carshalton.
Getting out of that league (Upwards!) might take more than a year or so. I am 72 so Mr Leslie hope we can complete the targeted journey to Div. 2 before I hit 80.

Don't worry Sideline. I'm sure we'll make it to Southern Combination League division 2 in time for your 80th celebrations.

Thanks vila ... just been checking directions to Upper Beeding FC for the future ... better get there early as the average home gate is 43.
