Players have let him down Mammoth task for him to come in and manage an almost completely new squad as his first managerial assignment at a notable level. The continuity and camaraderie from previous seasons is gone and I think there's an element of truth to this.. it takes time to build a team, and this was possibly too much too soon for Mark who was probably at his wits' end. To my mind the squad re-build following the takeover seemed rushed and whereas in previous seasons we've managed to settle into some sort of a rhythm, the shockwaves from the summer seem to have rippled through.. It'll be interesting to see how the next manager handles the situation, whoever that might be.

What must be frustrating for Mark - and for us as supporters - is Brad Barry confirming that some players just don't care enough, cannot get fired up for a derby. That to me is unacceptable. I know they're not paid millions, but they are paid professional footballers AND they have the privilege of running out and playing in front of 1000+ fans every week, who get behind them, support them, sing for them. Some of us work hard jobs, without support, and still pour our hearts into what we do. If they feel sorry for themselves and give up when they fall behind, they shouldn't be here. Simple.
