So many times the epiphet 'Legend' is applied to footballers etc who are then forgotten
Len Smith is and always will be a proper legend for the Sports and Eastbourne Borough

Last time I spoke to Len was at the Sovereign Centre , he was doing some gym work after his first stroke

Great man and massive loss even though we knew he was coming to the end and of to meet Mike Spooner and Synders up stairs . Great man who I called a friend and customer. Rest in peace Len 🥲

A fantastic turnout at the crematorium this afternoon to say thanks and farewell to Len.
Many past managers and players in attendance.
So many wonderful tributes made .
