Finishes 1-1. Be interesting to hear the thoughts of those who went but on the surface I'm not unhappy with that result.. Farnborough look a decent outfit this year and had a late charge for the play-offs last year. A point away from home against them is ok. I was thinking before the game that to come away with 7 points after the long weekend away trip would be a good start... so hopefully we'll look to sneak away with all 3 at Aveley! That said, they did thump Taunton 4-1 today, so won't be easy.

I’m on the fence whether i think it’s a good result. Point on the road is ok, but think really we should be winning. Definitely need to be challenging the keeper more with our shots

To those who expect us to win every game this result probably comes as a disappointment. A point on the road is always good and 4 points from the opening 2 games is hardly a disaster. 3 points on Monday and that would be a pretty solid return. This squad is still relatively new.

Do we know why the game is Monday not Tuesday like all the other matches ? Chelmsford play some home matches on a Monday because they have to share facilities with a athletics club , so maybe the same reason applies to Aveley. |

Considering Farnborough should have had a penalty. A point is a good result. But I would expect us to beat Aveley.

Aveley will be no pushovers and could do what Worthing done last season Agreed, we've had a solid start but are still a new team and haven't really found top gear yet, as mentioned above. Aveley have a lot of momentum, so this will be tough. Only need to look at Torquay and how they've struggled to adjust to this level to know that this league looks particularly strong this year, no easy games. We will have to put in a near perfect performance to come away with 3 points. I'm feeling confident though! |

I'm expecting Aveley to be a physical side who will try anything to get the 3 points. Would expect the dark arts etc
