Have not seen all the games so far and realise that there is a bigger squad than we are used to but I thought I would start the ball rolling on my selections for the first game assuming that Mark is going to play 3-5-2.
GK ... Dudzinski
DEF... Barry Finney Quick
MF ... Remy Clarke Paxman Uche Gravata
STR... Vukoje Vigar
Subs. Foulkes Procter Kasim Bridgeman Holman
Chose Remy and Gravata as they both seem to be getting in the crosses we need and the 2 V's up front look as if they are best to latch onto them.
I'm sure there are a 1000 other opinions out there so lets have your selections.

That’s a really exciting lineup - even without Sheriff. It’s exciting to see the quality of the subs. If the boys are as fit as the manager says and we can bring on quality subs we can expect lots of late goals. We will also be able to shut up shop with more defensive players like Kasim or putting Barry into midfield and another defender on.

Why have you not included Sheriff on the bench I'm pleased to see you have left.the owner son out he is probably the weak link but could improve if loaned out to gain experience

Very good line up. I’d like to see Kasim start, both times he’s come on in the second half we have played so much better. Need to hit the ground running on Saturday.

If Kasim was to start who would he replace? If Sheriff was in the team again who goes?
Don't sit on the fence people ... show us your selections .... its only fun. Mr. Beard has the real say!

Sherrif would replace Holman on the bench perhaps

Whatever the side Mark picks I’m sure it will do the job to achieve 3 points. I’m more concerned that an opening match in the first week of August is being regarded as a must win. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

It is a must win. I agree that the season is a marathon not a sprint. But after the hampton game we have 2 away fixtures. I would expect 6or 7 points. A good start is essential. We didn't have a good start last season in out first 5 games or so and they proved to be costly

A good start is so important. Gives the lads a bit of confidence. I’m sure there will be some nerves. We just need to hold our own for the first 10/15 and ease into the game and we’ll be fine, worst thing would be to concede early on.

I don’t think it’s a must win.. but it would put the pressure on if we don’t, given the fanfare and the self-set aspirations for this season. Remember we have an almost completely new team who are yet to play a competitive league fixture together.

It’s a million miles from a must win. Much of the fitness work will reap benefits later in the season, they’ve only just started the programme. They look a great set of players but they won’t be a united team until they’ve come through some challenges including bad results and training ground bust ups.

First couple of months are all must wins in my opinion. Gives you some breathing space to drop points on rainy cold Tuesday away game.. we need to stockpile points early on, we missed out on the playoffs by a point last year. Every game counts!

We need to get off to a good start. It is a must win. Those 3 points are vital, it gives the side confidence going into the next 2 away games.

Looking at the weather forecast for Saturday not good might affect the gate and the result

Wonder if they’ve been briefed about the notorious swirling wind of priory lane… no hoof ball like the first half of the Wimbledon friendly

On xc weather (fisherman's weather site) it shows that it will be sunny/cloudy. Its mostly reliable so hopefully we will be alright.
