Shocking that.. Danny has been a breath of fresh air at the club since his appointment. I remember a few raised eyebrows when he first arrived given he was a relative unknown at this level, but he well and truly put those concerns to bed. Two strong seasons in a row on a modest budget. The next manager, who will no doubt have a larger budget at their disposal, has big shoes to fill. I'll certainly miss the "Up the Borough" rallying cry following each interview! Thanks for all the effort and passion that you clearly poured into this job, Danny, and good luck in your future endeavours.

Never saw that one coming so soon.
Where does that leave his back room staff.
Does Simon already have someone lined up?

I really hope this doesn't backfire, but it does leave a strange taste. Without knowing what was said, I can't wrap my head around why you'd get rid of a manager who had been performing so well on a shoestring. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at a rival.

Surprised by that announcement, thoroughly enjoyed the type of football he and his coaching staff got his players playing. Looks like there will be many more changes to come under the new ownership.

Does this mean all the good work Danny has done with his contacts with EFL clubs will go out the window

All the lip service paid re Danny was the reason for investing and his job is secure.. it doesn’t instil much trust to be blunt.

I am new to supporting the club and recently moved to the harbour area but having been to the last couple of home games Danny was very well like by the supporters not sure about this decision, it seems to follow me about as I have moved from Watford area its what clubs do now I suppose money unfortunately talks.

Unpopular opinion.
I think it’s probably the right decision to bring someone else in and take them to the next level, just a bit **** as what Danny has done on the budget he had had been incredible and was also a popular figure. He’s a great manager who would keep us at this level, but I think in the long run it will be good and we can find someone to push us to the next level.

Can’t see why he couldn’t take us to the next level to be honest. Many people didn’t gave him a chance when he first arrived believing he didn’t have the experience for National South. He hasn’t been given a chance. We’ll see if this pays off, but not a good start in my opinion. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side and we had a great manager in Danny.

You may have hit the nail on the head there Les ... in a hard nosed business approach you could use Steve King with a largish budget to go full time and probably get you promoted and then see if he could succeed at the next level and if not move on to a manager with EFL credentials. That could be the less cosy world we are entering if you want to climb the ladder! He says he wants to create MAGIC in Eastbourne. New Era it is.
