Wasn’t to be, always a tough ask to go away to another play-off chasing side. I’ve had a look back at the league table: we were 18th with 16 points from 14 games back at the start of november. To turn it around and come within a whisker of the play-offs shows how far we’ve come. You can’t win them all and the slow start probably cost us in the end. Hopefully people turn up in numbers for the last game to Concord. The players have delivered a great season and deserve a good send off before the summer break.

Also just spotted that Lewes missed out on the play-offs on goal difference (2 goals) - so it could be worse! Shame that though, would've quite fancied an East Sussex derby next season.

It's been great to have Worthing in the league this season for a Sussex derby - first one since the 2017-18 season - but not sure I'd say it's quite 'local'. It's about the same distance to Tonbridge. |
