Yes I notice these results just proves that a experience manager can motivate the players we need A New Manager before it is to late it is obvious that the players have no confidence in Mr Bloor

We could be in the same position if our Chairman would get his head of the sand

Over the past few seasons there has always been the subject of the manager’s position. Whether it’s it a call to go or whether it’s backing the person that’s in charge. The one thing that seems consistent is for a manager with experience at our level or above. Garry Wilson was always going to be a hard act to follow. No doubt Man Utd fans will share that sentiment. So we embarked on TW. A manager with the said experience required. He did at least stablize us to mid table safety. The next cab off the rank was Jamie Howell. Apart from getting Bognor promotion via the play offs, I didn’t really see much of what was required. Next was Lee Bradbury, certainly seemed to fit the bill and did have some success with H&W.The fact he lived about 100 mile away suggested he wasn’t going to be long term. And so we come to DB. On the face of it his experience was totally opposite to the remit. Fair play to him for a couple of decent seasons. Now there’s no reason to push on, but we need to employ a manager who has a shed load of what’s required. It also poses the question as ti how ambitious the club is, genuinely, not just talk. It doesn’t always require a “ money man/ woman. Very few clubs if any at our level have millions to chuck away. This is a decent club and deserves a great deal if success for all the past efforts. I hope this is the case and not too long coming.

Results have been disappointing of late agreed. However, I like the quality of football we play and young players do need time to improve and progress. I like the Managers approach and his commitment to the Club is beyond doubt. I think we may need to change our defensive approach to dealing with set plays and work a combined Man to man/zonal strategy. For that to work, we do need more height at the back and therefore a commanding, tall central defender might help. Fact is we are hard to cope with going forward, we move the ball quickly, have good pace and command attacking play well for long periods BUT despite good experience at the back and in defensive midfield positions we do lack command and discipline when defending in both wide areas and as I said, when defending corners and free kicks. Overall, I think we are in good shape and DB will make changes where needed and the experience our young players are gaining now will pay dividends in the long run.
