Enjoyed driving to one of the 3 or 4 away games I plan to go to .... traffic not too bad but of course trying to find a legal parking spot near the ground in such a residential area is hard but I got within about 350 yards and limped in with my injured foot(argh). Went in our Sheep pen segregated section which wasnt the greatest viewing but excellent for easy to use loos and queue free catering. Good number of away support and I was told that we had bought 120 away tickets on line. Some lively singing and chanting from a number of our younger fans and generally good spirited just occasionally a too much F'ing.
Ground has the big stand with rooms under down one side but the rest of the ground although having reasonable terracing has limited cover. 3G looks fine and good atmosphere with nearly 1700 crowd.
First half fairly evenish but our quicker players especially Scarlett looked more threatening and our defence nullified any serious threats and on balance we deserved our 1 goal lead from Hammo free kick.
Worthing must of had a little talking to at half time as they came out on the front foot for the first 10 mins but we weathered that and looked solid and maybe up for a second but then just as Romain's no. was on the subs board the ref missed it and Romain was fouled and we all know Elliot's red mist and he apparently retaliated and down to 10 men we go!!
About half an hour to hold out and and we dug in and repelled cross after cross but one was finally headed in and we valiantly then held on for the draw.
