Nice mild day, knew the area so decided to drive up to the game and visit the quirky but pleasant Beaveree. Spoke to the regular away supporters especially big John and Mick. Questioned the Chairman about the Lincoln Deal but Undisclosed it remained however I got the impression that a good deal was achieved for all parties.
As to the game it was another tough one as Hampton came out of the blocks in both halves fired up and on the front foot but a combination of organised determined defending and their lack of a clinical forward meant they were restricted to the one headed goal from a corner late on however we have the ever improving CK who beat the highly regarded Alan Julien twice with a power shot after 9 mins and speed and skill in the second half.
We did park the Bus for a lot of the game but every time we broke away we were very dangerous but much as I like Joel his shooting needs to improve (I know he headed the winner on Sat) as we could of had more.
Great to see Whelps back on the park.
