I'm not there but 1=1 at 70 mins and they get a Red Card yet we lose 2=1 to a Penalty after a clumsy challenge. Who is not clever enough to manage this situation ? Very disappointing and no jolly "we were unlucky" comments after please. Defence needs to mature and organise quickly. 28 goals let in in 14 games you do the maths!

Dont think Elliot is good enough, Dickinson always needs to cover for him young lad upfront is so close to being really really good, if he could finish would be with a league team. could someone just tell him to count to 2 before he shoots , perhaps we could defend a lead by taking a forward off and bringing another defender on, rather than do like for like.

Well Mr Brown since 16th Oct let in:- 2 Goals v 10 men Chippenham 1 Goals v 10 men Ebbsfleet 4 Goals v Dorking having been 3-1 up after an hour 2 Goals v St Albans in the last 7 mins only 1 Goal v a very modest Chelmsford 2 Goals v 10 men Concord
So basically not as simple as you describe it even though I am glad to have Lee in goal now.
Just watched the edited high lights and much as I like young Currie you can see he over commits himself leading to the first goal and Perez again is naive and allows the canny forward to fall over his leg to fool the Ref to please the home crowd. I have always liked Ben Austin but if he is the defence coach then he has got to inject a more "street wise" knowledge and actions into some of the young players that is needed at this standard. It struck me last season that we succeeded most of the time to stand our opponents up in our last third of the pitch and seldom give away free kicks this needs to return and dont lunge in or over commit. Thoughts please.

I think the basic art of defending seams to have gone out of the window. Nowadays it’s you score we score. Looking at the teams below us they all have games in hand, so we need to watch ourselves.

Form has unfortunately nosedived recently.. we’re not a million miles off, but it can be just one key moment in a game which makes a difference and we can’t keep losing by the odd goal. We’re still only five points off the play-off spots, so no reason to panic just yet. The next couple of games are key to getting the season back on track - against Slough and Welling, two teams in and around us in the table. Can we learn from mistakes and turn a corner?

EB have given far to many penalties away, the first v chippenham was poor. Going to be a tough one saturday.
