After a tough 3 game loss period nice to drive home with a deserved 3 pts. Strong westerly wind so territorial advantage to whoever had it in their favour. Clarets had no end product in the first half and just the one good save from Lee from Sheringham who now doesnt look the threat we used to find him. I was just buying my coffee when the Enigma that is Greg Luer went on one of his silky strong runs with the opening goal in front of me coming from his powerful ball into the 6 yard box. Greg does these runs and often puts in great crosses and he can track back at great speed but he sometimes looks weak in the tackle and when he looses the ball occasionally he gives up and that is why some supporters give him a bit of stick. 2nd half we have the wind and the 2nd goal comes and perhaps a 3rd was deserved. Clarets finally bring on their good attacker Jackson who gets the chance of a shot through a crowd players and gives us an awkward last few mins.
A win without Whelps and Ferry but having Hammond back and the recall of the blossoming Perez and asking Joel to shore up the right back spot where all pluses.
