Didn’t get to the game today but from what I was following there were more penalties than at Twickenham 🤷♂️

I agree, when hammond went off we struggled to stop a 10 man side move the ball up to their strikers with relative ease. However, we had 2 clear chances to score second half and wasted both. At this level that kind of wastage will cost you.
On the plus side, we wore them down in the end and a better referee might have stopped some of the spoiing tactics throughout the game not just the penalty at the end. I look forward to the highlights, the second penalty for Chippenham looked doubtful..outside the box? and it was blasted at the player, he had no chance of getting out of the way with his arm. I thought Dom Hutchinson had a good game and Towning who struggled when he came on probably gained a lot from the experience but I actually thought when they went down to 10 it might have been better to move the excellent Beresford into midfield alongside ferry to break up their play. Its easy with hindsight...
