Boro have signed experienced goal keeper Lee Worgan from Dorking Wanderers.

Hats off to DB, he recognised there was a weak link and acted on it. Great signing

Yeah sort of signing that gives supporters a real lift. Don’t think 37 is too old for a keeper. Remember a few seasons ago we played Weymouth and they had a keeper called Jason Mathews. He was in his late thirties and had an absolute blunder, one of the best displays from a keeper I’ve ever seen.

Welcome back Smudge btw ⚽️ Always looking/reading but believe it or not, one of Mark’s former managers got his knickers in a twist, because of something I said on here! Pulled Mark in! Didn’t think to have a word with the bald, fat bloke behind Mark’s goal, who actually posted it So I no longer post! But I felt the Worgs signing, merited a response!

My son is the same age as Lee Worgan and was at Bishop Bell school while LW attended Ratton in the same year group. Like Lee my lad was a goalkeeper and played for several youth sides including one season for Langney Sports which included Gwaine Archibald. He also competed for county schoolboy places but unsurprisingly lost out to Lee who played for England at youth level.
Bishop Bell weren't much better as a school football side usually beaten by all and sundry until the last year or so when they became more competitive due to the arrival of a lad from Peckham. Anybody ever heard of Yemi Odubade?
