Work commitments meant I couldn’t get to the game , but it sounded as if our ‘keeper had a bit of a mare.

Not convinced this keeper is quite ready for this level yet. Seems to me that not only does the defence have no confidence in the keeper, the keeper equally has no confidence in the defence. Little to no communication throughout and it left us a exposed far too often. Midfield we seemed 2nd to a lot of balls and gave away possession far too easily. A lot of work needed at the back for sure. Dulwich were there for the taking today but we fell majorly short.

Not the highest quality game if we’re being honest.. defensively we have a bit of work to do, the two goals conceded were easily avoidable. Dulwich weren’t stellar either, mind - we could have been in trouble against greater quality.. lots to ponder over for Danny. Think the draw was probably just about right on balance of play.

You wouldn’t expect a manager to condemn a player’s performance, and I get the fact he’s on loan as part of a learning curve. However, we are no different to any other club in as much that we need to accumulate as many points as is possible. Mistakes that cost us points won’t help the aspersions of climbing the table.

The keeper in very inexperienced and in the first 5 games he has been beaten above his head as few times as being small in size and stature plus teams know now after scouting us to crowd the small keeper at corners and set pieces and it is unsettling the defence which gave them their goals yesterday. Also he isnt vocal with his defence and Whelpdale was trying to slow the freekicks as the keeper was slow to get the wall done.

It’s interesting to read about the size of the keeper. Both Lee Hook and Lewis Carey weren’t giants but they fulfilled confidence in the defence in front of them.

Yeah totally agree, Steve James goes to the one next to Matalan, perhaps he could take our keeper with him !
