How insecure is Jamieās job now? After a promising start, such a shame to see the team struggling now

Relegation wise things look very worrying now. its a carbon copy of last season, with a promising start going into a downward spiral. weve got into the habit of losing and they're cant be many worse teams than us in the division when we play badly.

Struggling to find any positives from the last few matches. Probably too much to expect a result away st Woking but getting mugged by very average rivals such as Dulwich and St. Albans is hard to take. Not feeling very optimistic about 2019.

As Iāve often put, Iāll give you, my, not asked for, but less empassioned point of view! (It is noted I donāt have to put that proviso, when we win!)š
I was very worried, first, 10 mins we seemed to freeze. Big grounds, big crowds can do that! Rabbits in the headlights, without a doubt! (Wouldnāt be great if Priory lane, could be just as intimidating!) Would love our older heads to grab the bull by the horns and let us play our way into the game. But before we can do that 90 or secs in, we get caught in possession, they cross, Number 7 takes a touch then finishesš We spend, the rest of that 10 min period playing like we had our boots on the wrong feet!
But and gradually we claw our way back into the game. We spend the rest of the first half, playing Woking off the pitch, creating chances that, donāt even work the keeper. Who ,as,Big John, told me at half time, you know is a really good one at this level. (Mark knows him well and they go training with each other on a Friday, before Marks coaching session.)
2nd half, is a little more even and Woking have as many chances as we do!
The 2nd goal? Iām drawn on! Canāt see Why Tom would let it bounce (and thatās definitely not a get Mark out of jail card!) because once it did bounce and Mark starts to come (admittedly Iām behind the goal and heās running away from me!) but I definitely didnāt hear a call!
My summary of the present malaise is (and itās only my opinion)
Teams that are set up to score, need to score! In exactly the same way teams that are set up to park the bus, that concede aināt parking the bus!
This is the same team that started the season unbeaten, the same team that went to Dartford and Wealdstone and played them off the park! Consistancy (spelling is my short fall and for some reason, apple aināt helping me out here! But I reckon itās close enough for you to get my meaning!) is the last thing, but most important thing any team learns

The question is why most times it is no confidence in the. manager you don't go from being a positive ream to negative team with out reason

Really need to turn this slump around and at home v Dulwich is a must win game. the players must take account of there own performances and expect to get a certain amount of criticism for our position in the league.

Once we take more of the chances we create we will be alright its not as if we are being completely outplayed week after week. Even the sides in the lower half of the league are useful teams with usually very well organised defences, one of our weaknesses is if we do take the lead we cannot manage the game as well as a lot of our opponents do, and this has to improve.

Hit the nail on the head Doughy. No defensive plan at all and remember ALL players have to defend when they haven't got the ball. That's the managers job, one he doesn't seem up to doing. All he does is blames the players, but HE signed them. Don't forget the period when we looked really good was when we had Rutherford playing. Not the same team since he's gone. Wonder why Torres is not playing, has he upset the Hobbit?

Watched the highlights, which gives me different angle for the 2nd goal. Tom didnāt āletā the ball bounce. He thought Manny was going to head it. Goal 100% down to Mark coming and not calling

Not the same team since he's gone. Wonder why Torres is not playing, has he upset the Hobbit? Jbjo, I thought Alfieās loan was during a āin differentā bit of form. I may have to double check, my memory aināt the best. He defo wasnāt here during the unbeaten start. Heād surely gone back to Havent by the Dartford/Wealdstone game. Definetly remember him getting a hat-trick v Hemel at Priory Lane. I do agree with you, ALL players have to defend, but that is always made more difficult when your pushed high up the pitch, beyond the ball. There was a moment in the first half, Iād say was the big difference between the teams. I think it may of been Tom won a header just outside our box that went up a long way up in the air but didnāt go far forward. H was underneath it, with Harry Taylor from Woking. In the 2 secs(?) the ball was in the air, Woking gambled on Taylor winning it, while we sort of stood and watched. Ball held on the wind and took a funny bounce. Taylor had H all over him, but had an easy pass to Casey inside Tobi, because Casey moved and we didnāt. (Tobi wasnāt the only one not moving, it seemed like everyone in a blue shirt!) For me, that summed us up. Obviously we donāt have the resources of a team like Woking and those resources buy you experience! Im not laying any blame on H or Tobi, for yesterdayās defeat on the contrary I thought they both played very well. It just highlighted to me, where we are and where Woking are! If we concentrate on Casey, niggly, nasty little **** (I love him to bits!) knows heās way round a football pitch. First thing he did all day was shepherd a ball into touch then shoulder Joel into the barrier! In the refs ear all day, little pushes/kicks off the ball. Again, Iām not going to apportion any blame to Joel, but weāve invested our experience in Coxy, Sergio and Hall. (Westy, Yemi and Martin if we include the lads on loan!) I like Manny, think he adds height to our defence. I like H in midfield think he offers some cover for the defence. Which brings me round to my point (if youāre still readingš) As Iām sure you realise, playing H in midfield means dropping one of Torres, Wills or Hall to the bench. If weāre going to do that, donāt think Sergio can argue on present form

I tried to stay off but I couldn't - missus not watching me like a hawk overloading my new pacemaker at the moment so here we go - at the start of the season we would have looked at Woking away and thought 'if we get a point there it will be a result' - well we didn't so no surprise
I think we have all been downhearted by the Dorchester result which I will say was a disappointment - but it was the cup - and if we had beaten someone a league higher we would be on here crowing to the the skies - that's what makes the cups, little uns beating the big boys and long may it continue
I think we have enough to survive - which amongst some of the big spenders in this league is a good thing - the players read this - lets support them
ps - Smudge - great posts thank you
