Hi
I have not been on the forum for quite some time but I am hoping to get to the Hemel game with my boy on 7th November and was just wondering what the turnout might be from Eastbourne. I've chosen the game as it is one of the few that is my side of the M25 - being from Nottingham - and so realise that it therefore makes for one of the longer trips from Eastbourne but it would be good to join up with a travelling contingent however small. Google suggests that this one is actually about the same travelling time from my house as it is from the pier!
Cheers Steve.

Hi Steve
Very difficult to predict as to how many Boro supporters will travel
My guess would be between 30 to 40 tops.
Enjoy the game

Personally ,I think it is a real shame that we have to go on the team coach, leave early and arrive home later ,the atmosphere is different and the comments are more restrained ,I hope this will not be the trend as I think it will be to the detriment to the Supporters Club ,from the Club's point of view it is good that we share the cost but think what how the home journey would be like if we lost 5 0 and the players and Manager are in coach all the way home !

Sadly the need to share has arisen due to the falling away travel numbers and the pure cost logistics for both the team and the fans... By sharing, the Supporters Club will not incur the losses we sustained over past seasons which means revenue raised each season goes to the football club and not in travel losses... There will be odd games where it warrants a supporters coach alongside the team one, and should that occur, of course the SC will arrange such travel.

Thanks. I gather there is a Toby carvery nearby so thinking of heading there to park and eat pre-match. My boy is a teenager now so places like that are needed to fill him up!

We didn't find out it was called off until we finished our over 100 mile drive and arrived in Hemel Hempstead.
Gutted we didn't see Borough but after some lunch we went to Stevenage against Gillingham instead.
