One of the most personable, and genuinely witty, managers in the local area. And, as a journo, one of the most quotable - cheers Dave, all the best.

Dave Shearing did a pretty good job with a club with little money but some great workers behind the scenes. To be perfectly honest any manager who has to follow in the shoes of Ron Greenwood and Gordan Jago has their work cut out.
I have a soft spot for Eastbourne United having supported them in the sixties in the Athenian League when crowds of over 1,000 were the norm.
With little support from the council and a ground that sadly continues to deteriorate it is a miracle the club is still going and I hope they manage to keep their head above water.

Surely this is the opportunity where veteran county league striker,Tobi Hutchinson makes his mark at senior level management after having a team pulled from under his feet at Shinewater and then the 'was he sacked or did he jump' debacle at EBYFC.
