The Herald reported that Rambo has been offered a fat wad of cash from Lewes to move down to the Pan.

?? The Chairman Len Smith was quoted as having confirmed that an approach was made and a huge stash of bread was waived in front of Rambo...all power to him, he has allegedly been reported as wanting to stay with the Boro for a lot less than £700...
...Anyhow an Official from Lewes FC has refuted the report out of hand:
[be]Absolutely no truth in this report at all.
The subject of playing budgets keeps being linked with the ground improvement 'issue'. Can I reiterate that the two are completely separate. Neither has an impact or influence on the other.
We do not have an unlimited amount of money that we spend on players wages and neither do we pay extortionate salaries. The budget is fixed at the start of the season and SK does a great job with it. The results speak for themselves.
