Genuine Lewes fan here. Not one of the pretend ones from that joke forum. As always theres 2 sides to every story and that is only his side of things. Knowing a lot more than is in the paper I think he deserves everything he gets. Its obvious the club are p****d off with him as everyone knows he holds a grudge against the manager and he started that forum that is now just a shooting gallery at all things Lewes. Poor little sod?...... Nah...........Basically he has been a knob.

I admit I dont know both sides of the story (theres nowhere to read the other side on the net or if there is I havent found it), but it seems a bit unfair that he lost his job allegedly because of the club.

Sportspool, the club giving no comment to the paper pretty much sums up how much truth is in it without the need for the letter (see therooks.proboards55.com/index.cgi?board=chat ) but the letter just confirms 100% what I'm saying is true!

As always theres 2 sides to every story and that is only his side of things. Yes, Rookie there is. The club's side of the story is kept short and sweet. Lewes Fc director Steve White yesterday refused to comment. The club were asked ample amount of times to communicate with me, they were told 5 hours before I spoke to the Argus that contacting them was the last resort, they have my contact details and didn't contact me so I went ahead with it.

That does seem rather harsh and if my memory serves me correctly it's the same lad who organised the collection at Lewes after Josh's sad death earlier this season. Seems he's got more about him than those running the club.

Yes, it was me who ran the collection for Josh, and also ran the first one for the Firemen. I volunteered to do it again at the Oxford game, but it was decided that Firemen from Lewes would do it.

Having read the piece in the Argus and also the various threads on the Lewes Forum (OK, so it was a quiet day at work), I still don't know whether to laugh or cry. All I can say is thank goodness we have nothing like that at Eastbourne Borough FC.
It's true that there are always two sides to every story but Kieran has held his hands up and admitted he made a mistake and was wrong. In most instances of professional misconduct if you do that, rather than deny everything, you get let off with a warning and certainly not an indefinite ban ... and let's not forget that the lad is only 15. Nevertheless, having read some of his posts, he is certainly not an idiot.
Using someone else's season ticket may not be the done thing, but is not exactly unusual - how many people on here have been offered the use of a season ticket for say, Chelsea or Arsenal when the owner cannot attend? I've lent my National Trust membership card out a few times but have yet to be banned from Alfriston Clergy House! Surely it would be more appropriate just to confiscate the season ticket and leave it at that.
Unfortunately for those at Lewes FC, the impression that one gets of the Dripping Pan is that those in charge lean slightly to the right of Atilla the Hun. It just appears a gross over-reaction. Of course there may be more to it but the wheels haven't just fallen off the Lewes PR machine, they have also rolled away down the hill as well.
I know that the Borough Committee and Management (not to mention me) haven't always liked what has been written on this Forum (or its predecessors) which is why there is no link to the official site, but at least they have had the good sense to realise that unless something posted on an independent Forum is actually libellous there is not a lot they can do about it.
... which makes one wonder: why aren't those in charge at Lewes taking the appropriate measures if the comments on the Forum have no substance? Just a thought.
Now, can we please get on with discussing our own club?

Boro fans, I apologise for dragging this into here, I had invited Rookie over to our own forum to discuss this, he/she didn't so felt the need to put things straight.
Good luck in the play offs.
