Many fans will remember my scathing comments way back after Haverhill..... Well I wish to put down on here my opinions now... Up until recently, I still had my doubts about Allan's commitment to the Boro, but boy did he throw that back in my face today. I wasn't able to witness the two goals he scored in the previous matches, but what a fantastic hat trick he scored today at Yeading. He never gave up the chase and battled for every ball within his reach. Some lovely lay offs too, one resulting in Pats goal making it 2-1. I remember seeing Allan at Thurrock very early in the season when he bagged a brace, and was highly impressed then, but sadly he went off the boil. Boy what a time he picks to start to show us why Gary showed faith. So, once again, Allan Tait, I take my hat of to you and never will I have a dig again ( well maybe that is stretching it! )

I was planning to make a post along these lines myself! As I've said, here and at games, Taity-boy should be our best player, his reputation was excellent when he came and he has proven himself in the past. At Boro, up to the last week, he has been a waste of space. But, as said above, what a time to start turning on the old magic! No idea why he has been playing so badly (just one of those things, or sulking because we didn't love him? Who kows?), but I have no doubt that he will now get a hero's reception on Tuesday and that can only encourage him to greater things. OK, if he goes back to sleep I'll be the first to complain, but if he scores against Histon I'll also be the first to sing 'there's only one Allan Tait!'. I'm especialy looking forward to him getting a hatrick at Stoke in the South-North playoff final! All that's needed now is a decent nickname - 'Taity' just isn't good enough!

All that's needed now is a decent nickname - 'Taity' just isn't good enough! And no one suggest "Butthead" (as in Beavis and Butthead).

He does get angry, very quickly, with himself and others when things aren't going well, so Taz, a combination of The Tazmanian Devil and Tait.

Sorry, I'm a Luddite, didn't realise that the North-South final had died a death. Well, I suppose that is good news for us (one less game to win) but I like Stoke (yes, sad I know). O well. I don't care if Chinny is a tad personal - I'm sure he'll have no objection to 600 adoring fans chanting 'Chinny! Chinny!'. It's certainly a step up on 'Chase the ball, you useless tart!'.
