the coach has just got back, and everyone was really impressed with the lads after 2 1/2 weeks of no games. We showed belief and the will to win after going 1 nil down after 5 minutes, a tame lob that caught Lee off his line. Armo's goal was a cracker, I think that it was a half volley from the left side of the 18 yard box into the far top corner. Clear hand ball gave Rambo a chance to show his thundering penalty technique, to make it 2 - 1 and game won. I was surprised to see that their defence was absent or hoofing the ball out, without pressure. A noisy crowd couldn't motivate the Whites, but a small concentration of travelling Boro supporters waited till after the whistle was blown to cheer the Sports and receive applause from the lads....sweet!! Although their support was loud and foul mouthed they did congratulate us on our teams play on their way out of the Ground. Also, saw the Time Team Archaeleologist - the one with the Wurzel Gummidge hair, wide brimmed hat and very broad West Country accent, in the crowd near to the Boro supporters....didn't look to chuffed at the end on his way out.

I know that you get swearing at football but the amount of it was excessive. the one guy who started shouting " you c***s, Im going to f***ing do you" towards the kids with the drum was uncalled for. Glad the stewards told him to calm down. Shame they didnt take his bottle of whisky away from him though!!! I did like it though when the guy who did most of the singing/shouting during the game went down to the front and clapped our boys.

Excellent result at the weekend well done lads. Special praise to the management team to keep the squad fit and motivated during this stop-start period of the season. With the sun shining outside, fingers crossed that the bad weather is behind us and we can take maximum points from the next two home games. You would expect both Havant and Bishops Stortford to be more attack minded than Farnborough were a few weeks ago, which should make for a couple of good matches. With no footie on the box tomorrow I would guess we might see a crowd of 500+, just hope enough people, especially the casual supporters know the game is on.

The casual supporters are certainly just what we need.
If they come along and see the team playing the excellent football they have recently and beat Havant then hopefully they will return.
With so many midweek games coming up which historically don't draw the same level of support as Saturday afternoons we really need to increase the attendances for these matches.
After the great result on Saturday I am sure we will get more local groundhoppers along tomorrow for what should be a great night out.

Strange comment Jay about not wanting casual supporters to come along! With the amount of money lost due to postponements I sure the club would be overjoyed to see any ‘casual’ supporter tonight. In fact I bet he would prefer to see 100 casual supporters paying £9 than 100 season ticket holders whose money they already have. With the conditions tonight looking perfect for people to get out and watch a game, we should all try to get a new face along, and show them, as Taffy says, what excellent football the team are playing at the moment.

No Champions League football tonight which also has a knock on effect on our midweek gates.
