Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated…..
As fan of AFC Wimbledon I am asking the Sports Minister RH Mr Richard Caborn to intervene with the Football Association after AFC Wimbledon were "unfairly" docked 18 points and thrown out of the FA Trophy following a technical administrative error.
I would be grateful if you could sign the petition here

If you wish to help further then you could also e-mail your MP to ask him/her to sign an Early Day Motion which has been raised by the local Wimbledon MP and has currently been signed by 44 other MPs.

Title: EDM 992
Dear Mr. x,
I am writing to you as one of your constituents to ask you to sign EDM 992 and intercede with the FA on behalf of AFC Wimbledon.
The FA and Ryman League have recently imposed extraordinarily harsh penalties (£12,000 fine, expulsion from the FA Trophy and an 18 point deduction) on AFC Wimbledon for an innocuous administrative oversight. No unfair advantage was either sought or gained when they failed to realise that an International Clearance Certificate (ICC) was needed when they recently signed an English player from a club playing in the English League and participating in the English FA Cup. The FA and League considered that the lack of an ICC meant the player was ‘ineligible’.
The club in question was Cardiff City and, despite their full participation in English football, their players are registered with the Welsh FA. When a player moves from the jurisdiction of one country’s FA to another, an ICC is needed to confirm that he has no outstanding bookings or suspension.
The player concerned is a very clean footballer so not only did he have no outstanding bookings or suspension but the lack of the required ICC only came to light when he received his first booking, by which time he had already played in 3 cup games and 11 league games during which AFC Wimbledon had won 18 points. Frustratingly, when made aware of the need to get an ICC, this took a total of one hour and 3 e-mails.
The club fully accept that a minor administrative error was made but I hope you can recognise the enormity of the injustice and the complete lack of any proportionality between ‘crime’ and punishment and consequently feel able to add your signature to EDM 992.
Yours faithfully
