As previous posters have already advised there is a possibility that the FA Trophy match due to take place at Priory Lane on Tuesday 23rd January 2007 7-45pm kick off against Northwich Victoria FC could be switched to the Pilot Field home of Hastings United FC with again a 7-45pm kick off time. Latest arrangements are as follows: The Priory Lane pitch will be inspected in the morning (Tuesday). If the pitch is found unplayable the match will be switched to the Pilot Field (Hastings United FC) however should this occur supporters should note that the Pilot Field is also likely to be subject to a morning pitch inspection so supporters are advised to check if the match is on before travelling. Full information on match details/arrangements and any postponements will be found tomorrow by logging on to the club's website - www.eastbourneboroughfc.co.uk - Dave Nessling. Eastbourne Borough FC.

Priory Lane inspection between 8am and 9am.
If necessary the Pilot Field pitch inspection will probably take place between 9am and 10am.

I would be very surprised if the game is played at Priory Lane. It has rained almost the whole day today with intermittant sleet showers with sleet or snow showers forecast for tomorrow evening.
I do sympathise with the Northwich team and supporters who have to travel down from the frozen north and get back there after the match, especially if they lose!
The postponements over the past few weeks could be a problem later should we now get the wintry weather we are being promised. With two or three games in a week such as we had a couple of seasons ago the size of the squad could bring a lot of responsibility on the fringe and youth team players.
In the meantime we need to make sure we win our cup games at the first attempt, starting tomorrow night!

For the benefit of our younger / newer supporters: www.nomad-online.co.uk/html/hastings_united.htmlDirections on the site - I always go via Battle ... because I get lost going through Hastings. If you are thinking of going by train, I think it's a fair old way from the station

Well if Hastings United do stage the game tomorrow the ground is quite straight forward to find even if you come along the seafront.
Along A259 past pier. At the third set of traffic lights turn left. Follow this road through the town past Priory Meadow Shopping Centre on the left. Continue along Queens Rd, past Morrisons continue straight on at traffic lights. Under railway bridge and then there is a roundabout. Take the third exit onto Elphinstone Rd. Go up the steep hill. As the gradient levels out the road bears to the right, there are temporary traffic here at the moment. At this point turn left (Langham PH in front of you). This is a continuation of Elphinstone Road. After about 1 mile the ground is on the right. There is no parking inside the ground for supporters but plenty of on road parking in the area but a warning do not park with your wheels on the kerb or verge otherwise you will be a parking warden victim! Good luck tomorrow.
