A very disappointing afternoon. No fault of the players, just appalling conditions.
I thought all players performed as well as they could and it was surprising how passes did get to team mates on occasions. Perhaps the clubs with games called off benefited.
However to Monday. It was worrying to see Rambo limp off so early in the game which appeared to be hamstring problems. Hopefully he will be fit for the Lewes game.
I understand they have a long list of injured players and it would be just our luck for the match on Monday to be postponed until later in the season when these players return.
We were lucky with one thing today, however. If the referee had seen Duncan McArthur grab the Eastleigh player by the scruff of the neck he would have been sent off. I know he was fouled but we cannot afford to have players sent off for retaliation.

Or the McArthur stamp. The Beastleigh player didnt moan too much about that though but from where I was standing it definately looked like a stamp

Interesting to note from the Eastleigh forum that one of their supporters was impressed by Matt Smart. He is currently putting a lot of effort into the games and having been one of his critics in the past he is definitely keeping the number 4 shirt on merit.
