There is a footbll car-pooling scheme up and running already, but covers only Premiership, Championship, plus Scots Premier, I and II. All other teams get lumped under 'other'. I've registered (apparantly I'm the 146, 567th person to do so) but got no matches for my journey. If interested, it's: www.footballcarshare.com/default.asp

Or there is always the Supporters Club coach. Bargain at only £10 for members (£12 non members). Plus occasionaly there are discounts like there was to Lewes and was meant to be for Newport.

Although the front of the coach is always favourite, those sitting at the back; including me, have come away with £10 and a Board Game!! So, it's more than just a means of travel, it's good fun and can pay for itself..

One small word of warning about car sharing... Make sure if you are asked to contribute to the costs that it is an exact fraction you pay, ie 4 in the car you pay 1/4 of running costs!!! one penny over the running costs makes it profit and that classifies the car as a taxi, and all the legalitites that entails... Invalid insurance, not licensed as a atxi etc etc etc Just so you all know!!!

Thanks to Sportspool/Clogit/Convertedeagle for such positive remarks about traveling on the Supporters Club coach to away matches. Car sharing is all very well, unless you happen to be the one doing the driving, no time to relax, take in the view or have a couple of pints, all of witch you can do if you travel with us. The more supporters that book garantees that the coach will run. Just one small amendment to one of the above posting's, the cost for away league games is S.C. Members £12 & Non Members £14, with concessions for you/16's and full time students. Dont forget if you join the Supporters Club, you SAVE money on travel. See you all Saturday, (Weather Permitting)
