Excellent team performance by the Boro, with two top plyers missing and Adam Wilde still not looking 100% match fit a win against Lewes is a fantastic Chrissie present! We outplayed them for all but the last ten minutes, rode our luck a little at the back but made many more chances a up front than they did. I would say that on the day every singhle one of our players was better than their Lewes counterpart. Lewes now down to 12th in the table and even a play-off place looking unlikely for them, especially with 2 hard games coming up (away to Fisher then us). If they don't get all six points in these games then any lingering hopes of a play-off place are gone for sure. And with their money it has been a disaster of a season for them. I expect to see major changes at their place in the close season, especially amongst the managerial and coaching staff - they haven't just not preformed, they've been a complete disaster! Meanwhile, Boro still has a very real play-off hope. Eastleigh and Lewes, get six points there (if we play like we can, and have for the past six weeks, we'll get them) and then a play-off will look like a near certainty if the other results go our way. And that idiot they have in goal; you can see why West Ham got rid of him as soon as they could! He made one decent save, but he can't deal with crosses (or any moving ball, it seems!). I really hope he is between the sticks for our trip to that place that they laughingly refer to as a ground, he should be worth at least one goal to us! O well, three point from our little sisters at Lewes collected so far, her's looking forward to the full six!

Of course I am interested in what Lewes are doing! There are only five promotion spots (outright and four play-off spots) and Lewes are still in with a shout of getting one of them. If we beat them on Monday then they are effectively out of the race and we have more chance of going up. Of course, the same applies to several other clubs - at the moment anyone in the top twelve could be there at the end of the season - but, as a Boro fan, I am most interested in us finishing off Lewes' chances and getting there instead. Wouldn't say that I'm worried about Lewes, they are the long-shots for a play-off place now, lots of better teams than them about at the moment (including the Boro), but as we play them in 48 hours they are certainly worth a mention, wouldn't you say?
