Heard on the grapevine that supporters of eastbourne borough were giving the great serving STUART TUCK some abuse during the recent match between eastbourne and bognor. How easy people seem to forget a player and not just any player, stuart tuck the loyal ex-captain who used to give the club his all when he put on a red shirt. A player who year after year got supporters player and player of the round in the f.a cup and a player who would go through brick walls and die for the cause. I think it disgracefull. People should have more respect, I just hope the fans give him the credit and respect he deserves and give him a good welcome when he returns to play you at you are ground. Im sure a large number of you will!!!!!!!!!!

Why is a Whitehawk fan so bothered if an ex-boro player gets a bit of stick? If there had been any significant abuse I think it would have found its way onto one of our forums before now. Boro supporters are not adverse to giving the odd player stick when they are still playing for us let alone when they have left. That said I think the vast majority of Boro supporters appreciate what Tucky did for the club although I heard on the grapevine that Tucky was not quite the braveheart people thought especially towards the end of his time at the Lane.

I was at bognor and heard no abuse thrown at tucky. There was the usual banter that is given to the opponents, but none personally at stuart tuck. I think i speak for most boro fans when i say that we have nothing but respect for our player of the season. Although his diving heading on the ground was a bit iffy!!!

Sam how can you say he wasnt quite the braveheart towards the end of his boro days. If I can recall the amount of times i used to hear that he would play with severe ankle injuries and not moan about it and as i said he was a player that would go through brick walls and die for the cause, so why would that change at the end! I also said that it was a few people giving him abuse and that i was sure a large number of fans would give him a good welcome. Its football and there is friendly banter that goes on but i heard it was aggresive at times which i thought was a bit poor. That was why i started the thread because people should just sit back and enjoy the ride when a player like stuart tuck plays, he brings passion and enjoyment into a game of football. All i can say WHAT A LOSS TO BOROUGH!!!!!

Lions, this was your post in the SSC thread... "Sorry if you was at the whitehawk- brighton game you would have seen how good [be]we[/be] were....", "...if you played [be]us[/be] at [be]our[/be] ground you wouldnt stuff [be]us[/be]" "[be]We[/be] play great football...", etc etc I agree with all that you say, but there's enough 'We's and 'Us's to make me believe you're a Whitehawk fan
