I was at the whitehawk, brighton reserves game and whitehawk were outstanding, i would like to see a top conference south team play a top county league team in a competitive match.

Would prefer Eastbourne vs Whitehawk. Don't really fancy a trip there at night. Unless the area has improved since I last heard

Its not as bad as everyone thinks. The people are great and its a great club to be involved in, like eastbourne.

I went to Whitehawk footy ground this year. What a dump, the stand is like Eastbourne Utd's and the social club the same , very 1950's the pitch isnt in very good order either

Disagree Maz, I've been there on a Friday night and a Tuesday night - admittedly one August - and although its a b***** to get to, looked quite nice with the hilly surroundings. Sure, the ground's a bit sparce but the atmosphere was good and the terrace adequate. It's only the same as a lot of other County League grounds. Seen worse.

Think of Shinewater, Kingsmere and Pevensey Road (before police/council/housing associations sorted them out) all together. It might have been all sorted out at Whitehawk as well but thats just my recollections of the area.

I know its reputation and indeed have worked briefly in the area, so know how shabby it can look. But I just like the football ground, it's got some amount of charm about it. David Bauckham likes it too... www.nomad-online.co.uk/html/whitehawk.html

Well all clubs have to start somewhere, and i love it there, been important club 4 me over the years and would like to play there again one day, maybe sooner rather than later. Eastbourne started with worse and look at at what a great club it is now.

Don't care one way or the other - we're going to have to play a decent side this side of the final, so we may as well knock Lewes or Brighton out now as later.

No, all I know is it is 'travelling Road Show' (that's what the SSC web-site says!), and the draw will be made at the end of the match at one games in each round. It wasn't at Hastings, but it must be made soon.
