Lewes's place in the play-offs looks in jeopardy again! According to 'Lewes today'(see link on confsouth site) the Rooks are struggling to make the deadline for ground improvements. Not a surprise really.

Like you say shinless no great surprise but hopefully with the new stand being built the wheel of motion will be going in the correct direction.

Is the stand all that is needed seagulls? And will it be completed in time?I understand that there is a deadline of April the 1st.

I think the analogy of a boomerang is more apt. Lewes lobbed the question of Ground improvements out there at the end of last season, only for it to come and hit them on the head at the end of this one! Cambridge City have another year left in them, so two go down from our League. It gets more tense again.

Could not tell you for sure if the stand will be all that is needed, I'm sure it is not. We are also putting terrace behind the other goal as well so the road side will be the only side undevoloped for now. No it won't be completed by 1st April well not this year anyway.

For purely footballing reasons shouldn't Lewes be allowed to compete in the play-offs, and if they should win them - then make the decision whether they can be promoted. If the decision is no they could always leave the best placed relegated club where they are. It seems unfair to me that players can work hard and play well thro'out the season and be penalised for something beyond their control. It also leaves the season with a stage managed look and I'm sure I would felt hard done by if we had been in the same position last year.

:-/According to the weekend Non-League paper the issue of an extension being granted to Lewes or for that matter anybody, is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Who says so, the Chief Executive, Mr. John Moules. The deadline is next week.
