Good performance from borough went down to the match today(town fan) borough played well and deserved the win, they did not look like a team that are 2nd in the table did not create much, good to see that people like pat harding are playing as he has come from the county league and did okay today, but a question i ask to you borough fans is why is Scott Ramsay starting? what do all of you think of him? got the goal you deserved, Darren Baker just ridiclous was just stupid and why did the other player get 2nd yellow for???

Once again we mixed it with a team higher than us and came away with the spoils. Very entertaining match and the lads did us supporters proud. Not sure what got into Darren at the end, guess it must have been pure adrenalin and brain shut off for a few seconds. I was surprised to be honest it took us til the last dying minute to get the goal, after all those corners at end of 1st half. After the Haverhill result I slated Alan Tait, among others, on here, but want to be the 1st to congratulate him on his precious strike. Credit where credit is due. 6th tonight and only 4 points away from second place... That will do for me!!!

Darrens shirt was being pulled and he justlashed out with his elbow but didnt make contact. Daren was sent of for retaliation and Tubbs for the foul. The match was so onesided I dont recollect Salisbury having one shot on target and they looked as though they were playing for a point. Salisbury's midfield was rubbishj and everything was hit towards the fowards. Perhaps they had one eye on next week but Borough were well worth the win that could have been by a lot more

Best game of footie I have seen down here for a while, fantastic performance, well done everyone. Shame about Darren, I'm not excusing what he did, but their number 10 (I think it was?) had been making a complete menace of himself all game leaving his foot in and diving. Great use of subs, and I was pleased for Tait, the goal will give him a boost, he could have also won a penalty if he wasn't so honest! I really hope Scott starts scoring soon, he worked so hard yesterday and deserved something. Lets hope we can put Hayes to the sword next week. For sure they will sit back, but lets deal with it this time.

Darren deserved his red, 100% definately. Out of charactar, but the ref had no choice. The other fella was already on a yellow, he started shouting at the ref and when it kicked off, he pushed at least two Boro players, once after the ref had had a word with him, so a second yellow (and red) was unavoidable.
Great goal from Tait, perhaps he'll now make a habit of it, but one problem. He has ruined a perfectly good Boro tradition. We DON'T score last-minute goals, no matter how much we deserve them. We concede them! Every time. Boro has a tradition of waiting until the scoreboard shows 87 minutes, and then slowing down. Slowing down? A couple of weeks back when Basingstoke scored, I swear that Hooky had a pack of cards in his hand and was trying to talk Jenkins, Ben Austin and Jay Lovett into a few hands of Texas Hold 'em, Darren Baker was on his mobile making sure he would have a cab after the game, while Rambo had wandered off to the touch-line, thumbing his way through the latest Asian Babes! Playing a full 90 minutes of football must have been a shock to the system for most of the players, but now they know that they can do it maybe they'll try it more often!
On a more serious note, great performance, best they have played all season, can't agree with those saying Salisbury were crap, I thought they were the best team we have faced at home so far - solid, competant, showed some great touches, but obviously happy to keep the ball in midfield and take a draw, rather than risk any injuries. If we had played like we did against East Preston, they would have quite easily got a few breaks and taken all three points, never looking in danger. I'm hoping that the players have now shaken off whatever it was that seemed to be stopping them from really going for goal or playing for ninety minutes, if they are now coming into top form then we have a great second half of the season to look forward to, a play-off place looks likely at this standard of play and the top spot is not impossible, far from it, especially as so many others have got extra cup games to play, with all the risks of injuries and suspensions that they entail.
I won't be here for the Hayes game, as I'll be in Blackburn, but here's hoping for three more points!

Agree 100% Shadwell, Salisbury were quick and strong and for certain played their part in a high quality game.

Just looked at the stats for the game and the attendance of 745 (me not included unfortunately ) is fantastic considering what it was against East Preston. Hopefully it will be even more next Saturday but looking where Salisbury and Hayes are in both the league and attendance tables it doesn't look good! We now have more home league wins this season then we did for the entire of last season and our goals conceded column is the joint second best in the league! Long may Borough keep up the good form and its playoffs for sure at the end of the season!
