Shut up eastbourne101. he is only trying to speak out to people and attempting to gain more away fans. So you can either shut up or go back to France with all the other girl thingies

People have lost the appeal of going away because of the performances. although the obvious part is that we have risen along way over the years and we're bound to eventually find it difficult, but it has gotten to be a waste of time and money. i can even go as far as saying i enjoyed watching us more when we were in the ryman leagues

I am not sure if you have the right website but Eastbourne Borough have never been in the Ryman League. Perhaps you mean the Doc Martin Southern League?

the old Dr Martens league. some of the younger fans who might not have supported us until we were in the conference.

Probably the two best games we have played this season ie Histon and Thurrock have both been away.

I think with the cost and some of the distances involved, supporters with families find it a struggle to justify attending regular away games.

I don't think the appeal has gone. i just think it can be a bit depressing. the fans who travel away are the hardcore fans and hate seeing us lose and it happens all too often. There has only been one away coach to a match that has seen Boro win this season.
Also, the discraceful defeat to haverhill saw no respect to the fans (myslef included) who travelled all that way, payed for their ticket and cheered their team on for ages in the match by just trotting off the pitch and not clapping, with the excpetion of Lee Hook and Pat Harding

At the risk of repeating myself our away record is not bad this season. I think most supporters appreciate it is not easy to go away and win in this league and as JK says alot of supporters have to juggle commitments.
