Unfortunately I have had to delete two threads from the forum due to the personal comments made by a couple of posters about other users and individual players. Whilst a diversity of opinions is welcome please remember that this is an unofficial [you]SUPPORTERS[/you] forum.
Apologies to anyone who has lost their inoffensive posts.

Very pleased you did that, nice to see that it is being moderated, but as a new member I would still be interested to know the benifits of a second forum? I presume it has been setup for historical reasons It seems to be a good one as it is moderated in a decent broad minded manner. Let's hope AA has learnt his lesson.

I wasn't a member but I seem to remember the original forum stopped because of constant arguing along the lines of what we have seen recently with the same people involved. I think Waynetta kept getting banned for having a go at AA who was even more "vocal" then than now and Waynetta kept annoying the moderator who seemed to be quite close to AA by signing up again.
Then two people started alternative forums around the same time with this one becoming the sort of official unofficial forum and the other being an alternative which is less heavily moderated but a bit more shall we say spicy. I think its good to have two - variety is the spice of life and all that

waynetta does seem to be quite well connected and certainly managed to annoy Lewes by giving details of their summer signings including financial packages before it was announced on their site!!!! They weren't happy!!

Does my understanding of this thread lead me to believe this forum is thread moderated not post moderated and criticism therefore not allowed?

Guest - Unfortunately on this occasion the complete threads were removed because a number of posts needed to be deleted and without them the remainder did not make much sense. Normally only individual posts are deleted and fortunately this is rarely necessary.

Strange the BBC (a fine upstanding communication organisation) operate such a system without withdrawing threads, even allowing for withdrawal of idiot posts that normally add nothing to the flow of a thread. I realise they employ moderators but taking size and numbers of post equivalents into comparison, I find your argument Mr/Mrs/Miss Moderator far from convincing. Criticism is a wonderful thing if dealt with in a sane way, in actual fact it strengthens organisations. Running away from criticism therefore weakens the organisation operating the system. True or not?

Judging by the lack of responses I think most people are happy with the way this forum is moderated Guest.

Judging by the number of posts on this forum since your last entry Sam, it also shows my synopsis might not have been a bad one!

It does seem a shame that the heated debates that have populated this site will now cease. I'm not a regular contributor but I do enjoy reading the different viewpoints that are expressed. Although I've not always agreed with the comments from Alan or Waynetta, I fervently believe that they have a right to express them. As for the notion that players reading these will be so upset as to want to leave, well having been around non league football for many years, and knowing many players I think the predominant attitude woulsd be that they couldn't give a **** what someone who doesn't play at their level thinks. If the only posts on here are going to be completely positive then I fear the whole thing will grind to a halt and we'll all be sleeping along with Sam.

I'm awake!!!
I agree with you bg to a certain extent. I think if AA and Waynetta want to dig at each other let them. there are usally some valid points made underneath it all. I don't think its correct to say everything on here has been positive there has been much negativity and the moderator has only deleted two connected threads. Hardly a nanny state. But I do think both sites have been used by one person in particular who seems to have an axe to grind and as has been said this is supposed to be a supporters forum after all. As for the players, if somebody like Pat read half the nonense that has been posted on here when he is trying his best to make the step up and here's the negative shouts about county league players then he may well start to question what he is doing here. He needs our support. If people want to criticise then fine but can't it be constructive rather than vindictive? After all said and done we all want Boro to do well so perhaps we should all try getting behind the team, especially when they are struggling not trying to score cheap shots when they lose.

Thanks for agreeing Sam for you read in my posts if criticism is conducted in a sane manner the organisation accepting criticism becomes stronger. Thanks for repeating my train of thought. Taken to its utmost however if this forum is for support only then each of my posts in this thread should be deleted, in as much they fail to follow the line espoused by yourself and the moderator, although each of my posts have been both sane and constructive and conducted with lucid argument. Would that further however then run on to deleting the whole thread as the point of it would be completely lost? By the way Sam pushing your 'z' key in such a manner belittles your argumentative skill. Long live free speech!!

I have no problem leaving free speech to the BBC Sam but should you place the same constraints on them as you expect on here talking about football then free speech flies out of the window.

Is that reply portsmouth32 in French, German, Latin or Arabic? It's said English is a difficult language to comprehend. Thank you for the confirmation.
