Yeh he's quality, I was a bit concerned that (coming from Iceland) he felt the need to have a long sleeve vest on under his shirt, I mean I know we aint had much of a summer but..... I reckon he's going to do great this month, let's hope he starts next game. THE ICE MAN!!!!!!!!

Yes you can see that he plays a high standard. Be great to have him for the season. Did laugh when his first contribution was falling over though lol. But he more than made up for it.

Perfect cover for Atkins. I bet Len is hoping for a speedy recovery as he cant be happy with wages, possibly a loan fee and a long physio bill. Oh well thats football.

Yes, I would stay with Tait and Crab to start. After all they have both earnt their positions. Interesting that the reading fan above watched the game! Who do you think he is?

Now I am going to stick my neck out and say something possibly controversial! I would put Iggy in from the word go alongside Taity. I know Nathan has been popping golas in lateley but I wasnt alone in thinking he looked out of his depth at Mansfield in the 1st half... Dont get me wrong, I rate Nathan highly and he has proved himself time and again from the bench, but does he have the strength to last the full 90 at this level. I know Iggy is only 18 BUT he has had the training etc of full time football.... Ok, I am now awaiting to be ripped to shreds... Its only MY opnion!!

I would tend to agree with you, except I would question whether he is match fit. He had played very little if at all before he came to us,due to his back injury.Reading clearly want him to play football,so I guess it's one bit at a time. Just shows how much we are missing Andy

omg seriously what more has young nathan got to do ? scoring his goals and thats still not enough.......... ? does iggy really deserve to start dont really think he would be able to last the full 90 either considering hes been injured for a while which is why reading have loaned him to us just to get match fit...!!

You've got to give him the time on the pitch to build confidence and stamina, that is as long he is serious in competing for the top spot. But, Nathan doesn't quite have the physical presence that other strikers bring to the front line, and it is that what makes him appear to be a tad lightweight. He has to date drifted in and out of games, hence, he is used for an impact in the last quarter of a game. I guess that you have to keep the faith with him and use his natural ability to find the net and find the positions that get the goals, in order to get the most out of him. But, I still would use him as a fresh alternative later in a game. Iggy is a target man (in the role of Atkin). Tait can hold the ball and lay it on for Iggy. IMO The bottom line is that when we had Jamie Day here we didn't use him to the max, he sat on the bench mostly. Let's hope that we exploit the opportunity of this Iggy guy whilst he is with us.

I agree we should start with Iggy and Tait up front, their both big players and can hold the ball up. Iggy has the pace to feed off taits lay offs.
Crabb has done excelllent but still needs to mature a bit, would like to see him on the opposit wing to his brother?

Tait/Iggy for me on saturday. Nathan on the bench(Not sure about the Atkin injury) bring him on in the second half to get his goal, simple!! No mention of sigere from me, or anybody else it seems. Any news re this new defender anywhere??

Quite agree, about time Tait got the recognition he deserves. Iggy or NC I dont mind, swings and roundabouts for me take your choice. The experience of Tait is proving to be a great asset. We just need to get the ball to him!

we must keep nathan starting until the goals dry up again because you cant drop a striker in touch as his goals are vital and the young lads probably full of confidence, tait hasnt been scoring many which is what he's their to do , give iggy a chance to show off his football league pedigree

So all we have to do now is get the ball up front! That has been the problem most of the season!
