Well, that's what I was told when I asked before the Bromley game. It was supposed to be fixed before the game vs Rushden but there is clearly still a problem (I wasn't there that day). I can assure that it's just as big a pain for us in the PA box, having to keep our stopwatches going!

where,s the part coming from then outer mongolia.. Well Ulan Bator is well known for its precision timepieces but it takes six months shipping it that distance. They could though have got a British made part which is inferior but more expensive, delivered from Newhaven in err.. 7 months ;D

dave be, as you're in the pa box could you PLEASE put on some newer music!!! it's just embarrising constantly hearing shania twain, tom jones and elvis every time pre game , I'm sure the club could afford a latest chart hits cd to mix in with the other rubbish! or what some grounds have done is to directly link the PA with a local radio station e.g. southern fm or sovereign

Ok, I don't really want to get involved in this but ... My responsibility is for the announcements not the music, except when I am alone in the PA Box and 'in charge' of music. The music is Tony Marshall's responsibility - there has been talk of getting a laptop hooked up in there so we can download stuff from iTunes and have a large (and varied) 'music library' to choose from. It hasn't quite happened yet, but I am sure it will. I did used to have a few 'Now' CDs but of course they're out of date now. On a number of occasions on this Forum I have told people to speak to Tony and let him have requests ... but no-one ever does. The argument is that we have to cater for all tastes and basically that means being pretty middle of the road. If it's any consolation it's not really my taste either ... but then I don't think you would really like to listen to some of the extreme stuff that I prefer to listen to (unless you're a big jazz fan that is) We did get a CD from Sovereign but it wasn't indexed so we couldn't dip into it for specific tracks. When I used to look after the music, Len Smith came up to me once, and said something like this ... "David, let me explain something to you. The word 'pop' in 'pop music' is short for popular, and what you're playing is not popular" ;D classic!
