5 - 3 to Boro, but the score hides what was a really out of sorts performance from the team. Worthing came with a good attacking intent and fired off two shots in the first couple of minutes. Boro's defence for some reason just kept misfiring with clearances and passes out more often than not going straight to Worthing( Must learn not to hit the send button by mistake). The first half hour ultimately belonged to Wilde on the right wing who ensured we took a 2 - 0 lead before going off injured. From then til 4.25 Boro were frankly second best (and went 2 - 3 down)with the defence continually putting the team back under constant pressure. Thanks to lots of talking and geeing each other up, coupled with two good runs from Attwood Boro fought their way back to take the game. Leach also worked hard throughout and was well rewarded with his goals. It was a great escape and the Worthing boys looked totally gutted at leaving the Lane with nothing today. This coupled with the win at Bromley caps a great day for Boro.
