So we move to this evening, hoping to get back home in time to make kick off, be my first game this season. Welling in a indentical position to us (bar the red cards) so far this term. Should be a good game with both teams needing to prove a point. Just hope we can keep 11 on pitch this time out.

Good opportunity to get some more points on the board and build on the performance against Hampton.. as you say, we're going to need to cut out the red cards.

We desprately need a centre forward who can jump run and hold up the ball and of course score plenty of goals ( Not penalies!) I think then you will see a differnt side!

Cannot fault the players for the effort they put in last night. Their keeper was the busier of the two as we had more attempts than they had on goal. I was disappointed in the second half showing when we played too many long aimless balls forward instead of building from the back and playing through the midfield. IMO we still need a couple more good players to strengthen the squad otherwise its going to be an uphill battle this season. On a positive note at least it was good to keep a clean sheet.

Striker,I hear what you are saying but nearly every team in the land wants one of them a goalscorer, but the manager does not have the contacts to get a top forward in,it's ok saying that's all we need but we need more Quality then what we have, better players that can unlock games when games are tight, but all we have it average players

My thoughts on Pinney's best position " Super Sub" If we had a centre forward who's work rate is similar to Yemi's,both of them will run the defence wild, around the 70th minute they will tire, you then bring the Super sub on,he will have a feast day against a very tired defence.Where now at the 70th Minute he is just as tired as they are!

On 2 days reflection my first home viewing since Daggers friendly I think that we will not win the league but also we will not be relegated. Progress is small but in the right direction ( Ended up with 11 on the pitch and opposition voting their Keeper as MOM). JH talks about the players still learning how he wants them to play so that is positive and I think he has kept a little money up his sleeve for those one or two additions that might turn us into a more consistent 3 pt collecting outfit. My glass is half full so fingers crossed as we head towards Autumn and Winter.
