Wasn't there today as i'm on holiday, but to lead 2-1 at half-time, pick up a red card and throw the points away is a bit disappointing.. would be interesting to hear what people have to say.

A bit naieve when 2-0 up. Did not keep the ball away from them, Braintree no9 was very very good and caused all sorts of problems. We did have enough chances to score a few more but hesitancy when in front of the goal cost us. I would exclude yemi from that comment though, he ran and ran and could not be faulted. Lack of quality passing to the front players against a defence that as not that good. When kkj went off it looked like the flood gates might open but the team fought well with simpemba refusing to fold. Not the end of the world, Harris looked useful although not up to conference south pace yet. Probably the best save you will ever see at the lane from vose when it mattered but not at fault with the first 2 goals however the third was a complete balls up.

Early days but shape of team puzzled me straight back 5 ? Not sure no's 2 and 3 didn't look too far Advanced. Talking to Braintree fans after game who said they fielded 11 new players. New manager needs to take a couple of players aside and tell them that they are not in shape for pub Football let alone this level reserve judgment after first game.

We for sure was not the better side! Our 2 goals were against the run of play. Got my doubts when the full backs go forward, there dos'nt seem to be any cover for them? Great save from our keeper who has not been introduded to us by our Website. I would say that there was no progress on show today!

Started well & as stated were a bit nieve at 2-0. Disappointed with the ease that the guy ran though our midfield /defence unchallenged to score braintrees 1st. Their 9 was very good & the 3 got forward a lot & was never tracked even when we had 11 players, their pace & running at the defence caused us problems. The sending off obviously changed the game & then 2 quick goals had me fearing the floodgates could open, but the team stuck together & finished strong & probably deserved a point. Yemi was excellent & as said if the ball had been delivered earlier he would have caused them more problems. I thought both full backs got better as the game went on & denge looked happier when he played at CH after the sending off. Harris looked promising when he came on & should start the next game, simpemba made some great tackles& Torres showed touches of class. I admired the fact JH keep a 432 formation after the sending off & the fact that we kept trying to play out from the keeper even when it caused us problems,it would have been easy to just go long, but they percivered & were brave. At 2 up it looked easy ,but sending off & 2 sloppy goals cost us. If lessons are learnt this team will grow into a good one.

Not the start we wanted and we looked vulnerable when their wide men ran at our fullbacks in the first half and in fairness both got better as the game went on. Braintree could consider themselves unfortunate to be behind at halftime, although Yemi and Pinney had chances to increase the lead. Playing the second half with 10 men made it very difficult but the players fought hard to the end but I was disappointed with the midfield performance overall. Surprised Worrall never got a run out in the last 45 mins and I hope we can get something out of our next 2 tough away games .

Would'nt it be great if we had their number 9 alongside Yemi and Gavin Mac,there would be no stopping us?

I thought that Braintree were the much better side for the first half hour, quicker, played the ball to each other, closed us down and I would imagine they had 80% of the ball. How they then came to be 2 nil down only they will know, 2 bad mistakes on their part led to the goals.
The Referee seemed to give yellow cards to us but gave them warnings - KKJ did not deserve first booking but did the second. I also thought the Referee was of the arrogant ones, talk to the hand not to me, instead of getting a dialogue with the players
If Braintree go on to be one of the contenders this year then we did OK if not....................
Only minus for me is that Drage did not play well in front of the back 4 first half and kept getting easily beaten, looked better in back 4 second half, I would play him as centre back with KKJ and Ian S as the defensive midfielder

Yes I agree, Drage is far better at centre back with a bit more time his distribution is good

We need simpemba at the back to Marshall the back four, he was excellent 2nd half & his talking & organising kept us together . Drage & sims could form a good solid partnership, with KKJ as back up & worral as the holding midfielder.
