Another defeat I was expecting it at 1st, but when I see the team Dagenham put out there res team players and a few trailest and some 1st teamers,I thought it would be our night but all I could see was round pegs in square holes, the balance of this team is not right.very nieve and Jamie under estermates the Confrance south, different level than the Ryman league

I thought in general we played so much better, similar to a league game, whereby against Worthing it was just like a cup game. What a difference Yemi made up front. We need someone similar to Charlie Sherringham up front.IMO Pinney is so taught and immobile because of his size he finds it difficult to have a full range of hip movement consequently stopping him to score in front of goal. Josh Street lacked pace and was the culprit of letting the last 2 goals in, along with the left back getting caught out of position. Am improvement to say the least!

What rubbish - were you there..................
The first half Boro controlled and I thought they actually looked the side a division higher
Second half D&are (probably after a John Still halftime 'hair dryer') upped their game and pressed, and for an hour we defended very well
We lost by two goals as we tired at the end but no mistake, D&are will be more perturbed by that display than Boro will
I feel optimistic about the season and will be there on the 5th when the real test happens

I do not believe Jamie is naive, leapfrog, over the last 2 years he had great success against conference south sides in both the trophy and fa cup games, you cannot go as far as the trophy semi final without a good tactical knowledge. As far as last nights game, I was impressed with some of the performances as we played very well until we tired in the last 15 minutes. Must mention Will Hendon who still had a lot of energy right to the end, and if he can keep this going he is going to be a great acquisition for the club this season.

Only saw 2nd half of Worthing game when they were full strength and we were giving everyone some match time so not great but last night the stating line up looked the business and bossed the game ( very impressed with young Hendon ) but everyone was working for each other and despite a post half time effort from Daggers we would have won or at least drawn the game if Jamie had not been so kind to give Josh a run out in the wrong position against that lightning quick lad called Ling. I think he is going to want more chase back and crossfield running from Nat Pinney if he is to fit into this hard working passing side. Probably need at least one more tough midfielder to bolster the left hand side. All in all I was heartened by the performance and starting line up. So Mr. Leapfrog you are entitled to your opinion but nothing is real until first league game so lets not get too hot under the collar till league results are coming in .

first half was sublime and I really liked the idea of Drage playing in front of the back 4, I can think of some occasions last season when the lack of a physical barrier cost us. The shape was much, much better than against Worthing although I feel that it will take a lot more familiarisation between the players before the start of the season. I like the fact that Jamie Howell is an observer of the team rather than a vocal critic of individuals during the game. That must be very encouraging for the players. But lets be clear, these games are for adjustment, you cannot expect the finished product whilst in the middle of friendlies! The time to over analyse and offer a critique will be after Braintree or maybe a couple more games down the line. I for one am enjoying this new era and expect it to get better. Lets not jump all over the manager before he has even started the campaign...

One of the MAJOR problems we have is:- If Pinney is taken off we have no one to replace him!

Lower teams can beat higher teams in cup competitions happens all the time the prof will be over 42 leagues game, I would eat my hat if we finish in the top 12/14.do you realise right down the middle of our team is over a 100 years old with just 3 players, you need to open your eyes the current management no nothing about this level, wait and see,a team made up of Sussex based players will not be good enough to deliver, avage signing at best for this level.lets wait and see

leapfrog, if we end up in the top 12/14 at the end of the season which is very likely, will you please bring that hat along and announce yourself at the last home game so us supporters can witness the action you take with it.

I must say I was impressed with the first 80 minutes ,the ball was (mainly) played on the ground ,the "so called " lower league recruits fitted in well, especially Drage & Hendon ,there was passion and intent so not really sure that there is too much to moan about ,we need a midfield enforcer ,we hadn't expected Baptista's departure and it's a pity the Hughes left ,mind you Bishops Stortford is a lot nearer North East London than here . It will take time to get things right but you have to bear in mind that our budget is not the largest and some clubs are paying silly money ,some will rue the day they did it . Support the team and enjoy the season !

In all honesty.. it's still pre-season! Who pans a manager before the acid test? He's still tinkering around and seeing what he can and can't do.. what I would say though is that it'd be wise to find a replacement for Miguel Baptista..
