Let's not panic it's pre season, but to lose to Worthing as well as the other games not that great,it's not looking good, and when you think about the starting 11 tonight that would pretty much be our starting 11 if the season was to start on sat.we are no where near it,it's going to be sameo sameo, you can tell because there are more or less the same players as last year and the ones we have signed are not better than last years players, this league we can't put a whole team of local players and expect to do well.dreaming

Not a very good advert for bringing fans in, Pre Season or not,Team very miss jointed, when Ryan Worrell was possibly our best player. That goes to show what state we are in?

There was some decent football played by both sides in an entertaining game. Drage, McCullam and Hendon were our best players IMO. I hope Torres recovers from his knock he received in the first half as I do not think we can afford to be without him for long. But take nothing away from Worthing, they looked good and will do well this season and their second goal was outstanding. Just hope we have a bit more of a defensive line up next time.

I wouldn't read too much into pre-season games.. remember that Jamie Howell will be looking to test out formations etc. in a competitive environment - pre-season games offer the chance to try out what might work and what doesn't.

What got to me was this fact that every player in the Worthing team seemed to know what his brief was. Our lads were all over the place, I think that our new guv'nor maybe a bit naive about the standard of the NLS

Worthing were good value for their win but against a boro side that is still in inception. Jamie Howell has to start somewhere and I totally back his experimentation. The most important thing about a friendly is not the result but the knowledge gained about who can play where and with who. We will be ready first game of the season so give the guy a chance.
