Well another season has come to a close. Full of highs and lows. Biggest losses for me were loosing Elliott and The Braintree match when the whole team were so poor. Lewis Carey lost the plot and wasnt seen again for months but he did eventually return between the posts and put in good performances when Jordan was injured or away. Heard Lewis is not returning next term, shame. The rebirth of KKJ is great to see, this guy is becoming a great asset to our club. Was this Simps last season and training the next generation his next career move. Who will stay and who will go . From what has been said at the moment is that PINNEY, BAPTISTA, WORRALL, STREET,KKJ , RANSON , McCALLUM are with us next year.

I hope that there is no delay in signing the new manager, TW always seemed to leave signing players until the last minute, I hope the new guy gets his squad settled early. I notice that Mr King was at the game, obviously goes to the same tailor as TW. Strange game v.St Albans, both teams looked like they couldn't be bothered then it all kicked off in the last 45. Some strange substitutions did not help our case at one stage. Taking Worrall off after Hughes could have lost us the game, but then Oxlade Useless Chamberlain suddenly became the hero. Need another playmaker next season we were overloaded with scamperers and defensive midfielders which did not help our cause. Who is KKJ ?

I just hope we get some decent opposition in our pre-season games, no matter if we lose as long as we learn

Bound to get Langney Wanderers as they are now ground sharing with us. They do have a few players too good for the level they will be playing next season (Matt Crabb could still play at our level if he had a mind to do so). The problem is that are run (and behave) like a Sunday morning pub team.

What an insult to Langney Wanderers, I photographed their last 6 games including the SC 1 league cup final and they were a very well run and effective team who have improved considerably. They play to the limits of their ability and have a very strong team ethic.

I'm sure Langney Wanderers are perfectly reliable.. if it were the case that they conducted themselves in the way mentioned by kenebee we wouldn't allow them to ground share.
Going off-topic - but related to next season.. there seems to be a right hash-up down in the County League. Haywards Heath won the league but fielded an ineligible player during the season: One that had a blanket ban on playing football. The issue has been toing and froing since the end of the season and they've now been charged. Question is what this will result in? They won by 4 points over Shoreham, so a potential points deduction may or may not rob them of the title.. Could be a costly error.

I just hope we get some decent opposition in our pre-season games, no matter if we lose as long as we learn We have this question every year but many forget that to get a big team at Priory Lane for a friendly, we'd have to pay expenses for the visiting teams, when a friendly is more about match day experience and the team getting a better workout than standard training then why pay so much more for the privilege when local sides or teams of a similar level can provide the same thing.

Does that mean when we go on a preseason to United or Town Hastings and Tonbridge we get expenses?
