Amazing that after the ridiculous situation at the beginning of last season when Farnborough FC were prevented from opening their season in the Conference South, exactly the same thing has happened in the Ryman Premier this season. Clubs have weekends without fixtures and the situation changes from week to week as meetings and hearings take place between the club and the authorities, the latest planned for this Thursday. The long-suffering Farnborough supporters don't know what the future holds and rely on crumbs such as the friendly at Wealdstone this evening. Surely it is time for the football authorities to ensure that before the members of a league are confirmed their financial and organisational security are guaranteed. If there is a doubt their acceptance into that league should be refused. We should never have the situation where the same club is refused acceptance into two leagues two seasons running.

Its unbelievable this has been allowed to go on for so long, surely there must be some league rule stating that a Club must play their first game before the others have completed a certain number of games, you could not for example have Farnborough starting when all the rest have played 6 already. They will have a big points deduction anyway, and I think they will end up like Salisbury and will not be allowed to compete this season.

Seem to remember that we have all been here before ,I think we had one of our games "postponed" because of their failure to meet financial requirements ,the sensible way is to state a date when all teams need to meet all the league requirements all face automatic expulsion .

Chester City had (many) similar problems, (I used to work with one of their long-suffering fans during the Vaughan era), and I'm sure there was one season when they started their fixtures later than the rest - but can't now remember which year!

Yes, remember our game at Chester being abandoned because of the supporters protesting on the pitch against the Chairman one year. Was it after 4 games when Farnborough finally started in the Conference South?

So basically if they gain promotion this season and then do not pay the creditors they will be relegated to the Ryman Premier Division!!

But if they get relegated, do they get relegated again? Be a laugh if they got allocated to Ryman North, and having to schlepp up to Norfolk from time to time; some of the gates there are below 100
