Greetings, As we played you lot in the FA Trophy last season I thought you might like to know the situation of our Stadium due to the floods. www.flickr.com/photos/tigerimages/sets/72157600963983405/Unfortunately it is very bad indeed, alot of the stuff in the Ground has been destroyed and we are under almost 8ft of water. Cheers and Good luck for next season

I know, it is a very distressing situation for all. cof.tigerroar.co.uk - If you want more information.... Its not just the state of the football ground tho is it, the whole of your area is suffering... My thoughts as I am sure all Boro fans go to those who have lost so much..

Indeed. Personally I was very lucky as my house wasn't flooded, but we were about 5 ft from being flooded. I know more than a dozen people who houses have been flooded and its such a tragedy.
The emergency servies have been incredible so far, simply sublime.
The Club has had alot of Media attention recently which can only be good for helping the terrible job of clearing up this stagnant, contaminated water. We spent hours painting the Ground, doing the pitch and general tidbits around the Ground to make it the finest Stadia in the Southern League, now all of it is gone.
We are a strong club with a dedicated fanbase and hopefully we will pull through, although it will be difficult...

Desperate scenes and I hope the water goes soon so you can start to clear up.
With the help of your loyal fans I am sure given a month or so the ground will be back to normal but I can appreciate how disheartening it must be after getting everything ready during the close season

Clearly the scenes at Gloucester and one suspects many other grounds across the UK is going to cause havoc with regards the new season, let alone the fact that a lot of clubs will not have been able to play pre-season friendlies. Has anybody seen anything from the FA regarding this as surely there is going to have to be a contingency plan of some description?
Although obviously events such as this put football into its proper perspective, the new season is going to be getting underway nevertheless and a lot of clubs are not going to be able to complete on a level playing field (or should that be a dry one), to say nothing of the financial implications.
