Any win will do me, but I have a feeling that it will be a major Boro triumph - 3-0/4-0. Our defence is rock-solid, their attack is weak, almost non-existant, and we are going well - by all accounts, we could have had three or four against Dorchester (just one of those games, like the second half against Northwich), and we were desperately unlucky not to have had Histon dead and buried by half time. Unlike earlier in the season, a couple of games where luck has not gone our way has not led to a drop in confidence amongst the players, and an early goal will see the floodgates open. I can't see us running out with less than a three-goal advantage today. Now that I've just given them the kiss of death, let's see how they do!

Well, from the EBFC on-line report we had Tait hitting the underside of the bar, Harding missing by inches, a Rambo effort being just collected by a retreating keeper, an Armstrong freekick inches wide, plus a second effort on the 30 minute mark also inches wide, plus mention of several other chances falling to Tait, Harding, Pullen and a good claim for a penalty declined in the last few minutes. I'd say that sounds like a good chance of getting a brace of goals! I was mainly taking it from a friend (Dorchester fan) who also said that we were very unlucky not to have had a few goals - and thought it was a fair call for the penalty. To be fair, they did say that it was not a great game, more half-chances than clear-cut ones, but that Boro had nearly all the chances there were, and only the woodwork and the officials missing a handball stopped two goals in the last ten minutes, and that Boro deserved to be ahead by then already.

So I'm not the kiss of death (today, at least!). Other scores (not really doing us any favours): Sutton 0 1 Salisbury ( ) FT Bishop Stortford 4 3 Dorchester ( - but Dorchester were 3-0 down inside 30 minutes) FT Newport County 2 0 Bedford ( ) FT Thurrock 0 1 Hayes FT Yeading 0 1 Welling ( ) FT Cambridge 0 0 Basingstoke Histon 2 1 Bognor ( ) 2nd Histon goal a penalty Lewes 1 1 Havant ( - not sure if this is good or not; probably is. Havant goal from Baptiste; now there's a player I would like to see playing alongside Tait - so long as they were both in Boro shirts!) FT Farnborough 2 1 Braintree Town ( ;D) FT Eastleigh 4 0 Fisher ( ;D) FT

Your friend needs to take his labrador back and get it changed!!!! The game i was at was truelly awful.... one chance each side... passing was awful too... Thank god we played to our ability today at Weston!!!
