I'm gutted about this, remember going there about 3 years ago all convinced we were going to win but we got battered 3-1 after that always looked out for there result. It's a real shame.

The Walks is (was) a great non-League ground, and invariably an intimidating venue for visiting clubs.
I recall that St. Leonards went under for a lot less, so I cannot understand how clubs are managing to hang on.

watching the portsmouth burnley game at the weekend & hearing of pompeys problems, then hearing that crystal palace havent paid their staff or players, makes you think that in only a few years time there will only be an elite league probably consisting of 12 clubs, made up of foreign imports, with no grass roots teams at all!
its such a shame that clubs with such heritage can fold for the sake of a premiership players weekly wage.
i appreciate that the foreigners bring 'something' to english footie, but i strongly feel that an english club side should be made up of predominatly english players (maybe british!) that have fought their way up from lower level football to earn their top dollars, then perhaps they could take a struggling club under their wings, in appreciation of the help given from the club for the player to achieve their dreams.
there you go..... an adopt a non league club scheme for premiership stars!

And I think Brentford had some sort of connection with a non-league club in West London/Middlesex

Perhaps Lewes could be our nursery club?
