So after putting off the inevitable for months Weymouth are now being forced into administration. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/8329448.stmThey are a prime example of one of the unfortunate clubs who accept big-money men into their fold who cannot sustain the level of support required or have some ulterior motive for their interest. We had some great matches with them in the past and I am sure we will meet them again in the future. In the meantime this reminds us that long-term success cannot be bought.

many will say they've brought it on themselves but whether they have or haven't is irrelevant to me, i just hate seeing football clubs go into administration or go under, whatever the reason.

Quite right Trigger.
My sympathy is with the supporters who, whilst enjoying the temporary successes, have to see their club drop like a stone through the leagues.

Once again, it brings home just how well Len and Co run EBFC! Knee jerk splashing of cash isn't always the answer!

In Gateshead's case it's the Chairman bankrolling the club, and we know only too well the problems that can bring in the longer term.

Strange that; from the Gateshead website: " The Football Association is most impressed with the proposed new stadium which will form part of the 2018/22 Newcastle/ Gateshead World Cup bid." With a capacity of 6000 seated. Better book your tickets NOW for Cayman Islands v Philippines
