Yeah I know it should be, but is the standard of football any higher? Anyone watched games at Lewes or Town who can comment? Wondered if the admin/regulations side of things were any stricter with the Rymans, because I'm sure I've seen a few 20+year old opponents this season on a Sunday morning! Spose its a job to tell nowadays tho, with Macheda being a good example.

One Example of this is the Sussex Under 18 Cup,
Lewes Under 18s (Ryman) 3 - 2 Borough u18s (County League) this shows that Borough probably could give it a shot in the ryman and do quite well.
Nope i don't think any one over 18 is aloud to play in the under 18 county league.
I also think Lewes are the best under 18s in Sussex, non league wise anyway.
Croydon are also in the Ryman Youth league so there would be a lot more traveling, also with the reserves in the Surburban that is also a lot of traveling, and with one manager for both the under 18s and reserves it would probably be quite difficult.

Well usually they say what is happening with under 18s and reserves around June/July, or maybe when they announce friendlies ?

My son played Ryman Youth league for a couple of seasons. The standard is definately much better, you tend to play against teams with better coaches. Alot of the players are stronger physically as many have been released from pro clubs. The only drawback and it's a major one is the travelling and how this effects college and work committments. The league is now split into two which helps, but you still cover many, many miles
